How long to wait to find out what trustee is going to keep of tax return?

I turned in my tax returns and checks to my atty yesterday. Does anyone know how long it will take for the trustee to decide what he is going to keep and what I get back?

If your case is a no asset case then as long as your refund was listed and listed as exempt the money is yours.

After I sent a copy of my returns to my trustee(don;t hav ethe actual refund yet) he immediately sent me a letter telling me what percent he would take. It is what ever day of the year(out of 365) divided by 365.
IE: If you file exactly 180 days into the year
180/365=49.31%--That is how much he will take

        Ohio filer also

Our refund was figured on this:

amount of refund times days worked till the filing date then divided by 365

So, that was how ours was figured and it ended up being just under 50% that he kept.

It took only a couple of weeks to get our letter from the atty telling us what we owed and we had to send the $$ to the trustee as we had direct deposit.

        Hope this helps......

I gave the original tax returns to my lawyer to prep for this process. I was hoping that he would make what ever copies were needed to pass on to the trustee. But he still has the originals id this common? Does the trustee need to make his own copies?
          My credit scores:
Before Filing: Tr 496, Ex 496, Eq 507

          Today: Tr 618 (+122), Ex 601 (+105), Eq 623 (+116)
