    How soon can a person earn extra income during the bk process?

    Hi:

    I hope to file bk next month. I am currently the sole breadwinner in the house right now supporting 5. I need to get a 2nd job or earn extra income. How soon after I file bk can I look for ways to earn extra income or get a 2nd job (legit work). I know that when you file on a particular day it represents your financial situation on the day you file and back 6 months. Anything after the day you file should be considered yours. Should I wait to after the 341, discharge or closing or what? To have to wait 4-6 months to either get a better paying job or a 2nd one will be hard.

    From what I've read on the Forum here, you definitely wanna wait until after the 341. After discharge would be better. After close would be totally safe for you.

      We waited until after our BK closed just to be safe.
