    How much detail on assets?

How much detail do you provide on assets?

I was making a list of 13" B&W Panasonic TV Model 13B(purchased 15 years ago), lists of number of pots and pans and dishes and silverware, just about everything!

Then, I've seen some asset lists as examples in books and it will have something really general like kitchen items--$200 without further explanation.

    Where is the happy medium?

    The less the better.

You can lump all kitchen things together.

If you are using State Exemptions, you may be able to include the common areas only. Our attny never asked for a detailed list of what we owned. Just how much did we think it was worth. Not much. The paralegal threw out a few numbers and we settled on $2500 I think. Didn't matter. We were below our exemption limit anyway.

The paralegal did ask about DVD's and CD's. How many did we have. And Collectibles. What they were, some framed wildlife prints, and what the value was.

Other than that, we didn't list out anything at all. No Sofa, 2 endtables, a Loveseat, type thing.
