    Not on PACER yet--Unusual?

I have another really dumb question. I filed pro se yesterday and I just checked PACER, and I am not on there yet. Is that an issue? I thought I read that someone on here filed and later that day they were on PACER. OH NO!! Maybe my stack of stuff got lost!!!

    Pacer isn't a racer

I've had similar luck with pacer. I almost think it's geared towards lawyers. They get the fast stuff, we get the slow stuff. Or maybe I'm paranoid.

I just called a buddy of mine who's got a brother who doesn't do bankruptcy but does "federal stuff" and he said its the same for all. So, Pacer isn't good?

Pacer won't update until they put your papers into the system. Since you filed pro-se, I assume they will have to scan your papers in. I would suspect that at least your case no should pop up.

My attorney filed electronically on a Monday late in the evening. When I got home from work on Tuesday morning, I just for shits and grins typed in my ss# into the query and bamb, I had all the info there.

I think if you want to follow your case, looking at pacer isn't bad. Alot of folks on this thread have actually found out things in there case before there attorney notified them. Not necessary, but not a bad thing IMO.

Aa's probably right about that. The paralegal told me she'd scan our docs into their system creating our file and then return our docs to us. She said they had a software program that did a lot of the work for her. The electronic file would be what's used to prepare our petition. Then the attny will have us come in and proof it for errors before our petition is electronically filed. So that's probably it.

Just a housekeeping issue. Some clerk, probably down in the basement, has to scan your petition into the system, to get it entered.

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
