This can't be right... can it?

Ok, I just pulled my credit report and all three CRAs state that my score was impacted by "1. Payment history

You were late by the most consecutive payments or became derogatory less than one month ago."

I filed three months ago. Why are they still reporting negative payment information/history? I thought that they couldn't do that once a bk was filed and awaiting discharge. Also, of all the accounts I included in the bk there is one that still says open and does not make note of the bk. This is the one reporting deragatory information. How can I go about fixing this?
    Filed Pro-se: 01/18/06
    341 meeting: 02/14/2006
    Objection Deadline: 04/17/06
    Discharge: 06/13/2006
    Closed: 06/21/2006

    Credit cards

06/25/06, reopened a Discover that I closed before my bk, $1500 limit
July 2006, Target Redcard $200 limit
August 2006, Hooters MC $1750 limit

Probably by May 1st, most of your creditor should be reporting for April. Pull it again in May and see what it says. If it hasn't changed, then you should start challenging it. They are required by law to report correctly.

Yes, give it another 30 days, then check.
If the deragatory statement is still there - then mail a certifed letter disputing the statement as being included in bankruptcy.
Make sure you included this on your petition with the Courts when you filed.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
