DH new job, new set of schedules

According to my lawyer, we have to fill out a new set of schedules since my husband started a new job. He will be making a little more, not that much more. Has anyone had to do this? I am thinking that I have alot of items that have gone up in expenses since filing April 05. First one that comes to mind is gas. We are paying the trustee directly and avoided a wage order because husband worked for a small company, again the company that he is now working for is another small company. Hopefully the judge will let us keep it that way. I am afraid of what will happen if he doesn't. I don't think it will be a problem because we have never been late. Any input or advice. This just makes me nervous. I just don't want to rock the boat.

One place you might start, that could help you get a handle on some less routine expenses, clothes and such, is the IRS and Census Bureau Schedules:

    http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/bapcpa/meanstesting.htm

Those were updated in February, so that's the latest numbers for the "acceptable" averages.

We didn't know how much we spend on clothes because the last couple years have been tight. Only bought what we've absolutely needed. I knew, in the last year, clothes averaged $50/mo, so we told the attny $100/mo. The paralegal put a + sign beside that because she knew the IRS schedule allowable was more than we said.

You might also peek on PACER, query by your attny's name, and see what they've filed on Schedule J for other recent clients. That's how I learned what to tell attnys for some categories here.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

Thanks sinking fast. I filed under old law, so I get to use budget that was acceptable under old law. Thank goodness for some things, I suppose.

I know that our medical expenses will go way up because my son is diabetic and our new health plan only covers 50% of retail prescription cost of up $100 max, so insulin will be $100 month, testing strips $100 month, insulin pump supplies $200 month. That is a far cry from $15 a prescription and 80/20 on testing strips and supplies.

I think that all and all it will work out the same, just don't want to go through it again.
