    i am so confussed

i thank ya'll for the advice so far, but I am still confussed about the things i can buy with my income tax check i haven't filed yet, but I want to get things I need before hand so that I don't have to give my income tax check to the trustee. I paid my taxes and stuff I just fill like that it's my dang money and I should be able to use as I see fit. Please help

Spend it on things you need. Like you said, it is money in your pocket. Just don't send the money to a family member. If you take it out in cash, make sure you can prove how you spent it. I think all they really want to know is that you didn't take the money, bury it in your back yard, give it to a family member or somehow are trying to hide it to keep it from going to the creditors.

Pay next month's rent. If your auto insurance is coming due soon, pay it early. Buy up some groceries ahead. Stock the pantry and the freezer. Get extra bottles of tylenol and ibuprofen. New tires if you need them. Clothes. Necessities. Don't just go blow it having a gay old time.

NO trips to Vegas or anything like that, dontchya know??!!

Keep those receipts by all means! We were asked to provide copies of all receipts from 2004 tax year, then after all that the trustee ended up taking our 2005 tax return.

Yep Yep Yep! Definitely keep receipts!

Attny's fee and BK filing fee are a couple expenses I forgot. Biggies there. Be sure to save back some of the return for those.
