    Pacer problem

I was inquiring on my account last night and discovered that a search that I started but cancelled still went thru on my pacer account for 779 pages..for a charge of 60 something dollars. I emailed them to ask that the charge be adjusted seeing as I never did view the searched pages I started looking for. Does anybody know if they adjust things like this? They can see in my history that I do not do very large searches!

Most likely they will tell you to write them a letter. You'll have to include the search ID info, but you can dispute the charge.

Other people have disputed charges and had their bills reduced.

You might explain that you entered the query, then realized that was not what you'd intended to look for, cancelled that query, did another search, and have since seen on you bill that you were charged for the first query.

Be sure to include the PACER ID number on the query you are disputing for them. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll reduce, if not totally eliminate the charges.
