I am wondering if there is any way to stop my bankruptcy and start over again. My husband and I feel it would be well worth it. Please if anyone knows let me know.

There are laws in effect to prevent serial filings.

Our attorney told us that once discharge took place we could not add further debts. If the debts were incurred after you filed you may not be able to add them to current bk.

Once you're discharged, there's no going back to add Creditors. And with the New Law, you'll have to wait 8 years to file Ch 7 again.

You might Consult with a few attnys and see if your Medical bills could be placed into a Ch 13 payment plan. Maybe that would help you out??!!
        Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
        Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
        Closed - 04/2007

I don't think the court would look highly on, hey wait a minute, we need to rack up some more medical bills to file BK on. I sympathize with you, but you will probably need to file a chapter 13 this next time. Not sure on how long you have to wait to file one.

Is there any clinics you can go to which charge based on income?

Possibly the only option open to you is a Chapter 13 and it may be too soon to be able to file it......

Suggestion - contact your creditor of the medical bills and work out a payment plan that is in your budget.... Explain too them that you have recently filed bankruptcy and your situation and that you have every intent of paying them if they will work with you.

Many times just a little paid each month towards a debt will solve the problem..... just be deligent about it.....

                  Once discharged you can't add...
And you said you are discharged. It's almost like being done as far as the creditors are concerned.

And you do not wanna stop your BK from closing.

You loose the protection of the automatic stay (if it's still in effect post discharge), none of your previous debts will be discharged so those creditors will be back on you hot and heavy, you'll have the new problems to deal with, and no recourse to file again to protect yourself.
