Are we setting ourselves up for identity theft?

Since the bk forms will all become part of public record and accessible everywhere via PACER, how the heck are we supposed to protect ourselves from identity theft?

For example, all my student loan account numbers all start out with my social security number. How do you provide the info, but protect yourself?

If I was a thief, and wanted to steal someone's identity, it probably would not be someone that is bankrupt and doesn't even have a five hundred dollar credit card.....All thiefs may not be as smart as me though...
NOTE: I am not a lawyer...any advice I give is for entertainment purposes only. Legal questions should be directed to competent counsel. I am just a troll. Or a Toad.

Looking at this post again all I can think is "Boy, what a stupid question I asked!"

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I guess since we hear about it so much in the news (Colorado is 5th in the nation for identity theft) the concern popped into my head.
