What did you do for transportation until your case was discharged? I live in a major city with a decent public transit system but it's a sprawled out city and I work 30 miles from my house. I'm more than willing to take the bus/train but it will take me about 90 minutes to get to work everyday (blech!)

So, two questions...anyone have experience with HSBC auto finance? How fast did they come for your car?

And has anyone been able to get auto financing pre-discharge?

Several people here have financed or bought cars thru 722 Redemption. They loan only to people in Ch 7 during the BK period. Once you're discharged you cannot borrow from them. Your attny has to arrange it or be a part of it as well, I think.

There may be other lenders like that but I personally haven't heard of any others. If you can't get a workable deal from them, I'm afraid you might be stuck using Public Transit and spending 3 hrs each day getting to and from work.
