I know a lot of people know this, but I just want to suggest searching for you local BK site. Go to google or whatever and put in: Colorado Bankruptcy Court (or whatever your state is.) Some states like New York and California have divisions--north, south, east, west. The official site will end with .gov
I've been looking at about a dozen states and some have diagrams that explain the timelines better. Others have summaries for pro se filers. Each site has the specific exemptions for that state and whether or not you can choose the federal exemptions. Some states list common mistakes on forms. Also, some states have local rules that you need to use to file. I even noticed that some sites allow credit cards to be used for filing! LOL
I'm finding it very interesting looking at the other states which may be presenting the same information as others, but in a much more clear and concise fashion.
