credit score - with or without bk

Let's say, after bankruptcy, you have managed to rebuild your credit---your credit score is now over 700. Do lenders see you the same as someone with the identical score, but without bankruptcy? Or do they still give you a hard time because of your bk?

    Thanks.

That will depend... Some creditors (mainly the prime ones) have set rules regarding bankruptcy regardless of credit score. I've read that cards like Bank of America, American Express, and Citicard will not approve anyone unless the bankruptcy is 5-8 years old (depending on the creditor).

Others, though, don't seem to look at JUST the bankruptcy. From what I've read here & at other sites, cards like Capital One, Providian, and Juniper are possbile after a bankruptcy. Keep in mind that any creditor may decline you if you defaulted on one of their accounts previously. (Or one they are affiliated with.)
