What's your attorney's caseload?

When having a consult, one of the recommended questions is how many cases have you done, or are you currently working on.

So, what is a good number? What's too little or too much? I felt really good about this lawyer that I met with this week, but now that I looked him up on pacer, he really isn't doing a lot of cases (just a few a month). (Although he's been a BK lawyer for over 20 years and over 1000 cases total.)

If he's been doing it 20 years he's already made his "million" and just taking a light case load now and relaxing....................

Stop and think 6 or 7 cases a month will net him about $10,000 a month.....

How hard does he have to work????

He can work parttime, and play golf every afternoon..... and still make a good living.....

I'm sure he does other legal issues also besides BK........

Legal documents of all kinds probably....

Thanks, with that perspective, that makes me feel better now. He's only charging $1100 for Ch 7. Three in the office, two are trustees. Very modest office--nice sitting down with someone with khakis and a sports shirt.
