    Wow! The only little thing that comes to my mind is this could help you in disputing info... I've heard that when verifying public records and such, they just try to match the ss#, address, name, etc. If your report shows the wrong ss#, it might make things easier...

      If the reports are identical and accurate, how does that negatively impact your ability to get credit? Also, when you apply for credit I assume you use the correct SSN..wouldn't that be the one that is pulled?

        Didn't you read what she wrote? Her credit report has the wrong SS#. If a creditor tries to pull her credit report with her correct number, it won't work.
