I just check 13network to see if trustee had posted my payment that went through the bank yesterday and it wasn't posted, but the first check that I sent them on 6/8 was posted for 6/19. Holy crap. When I called on Monday she told me that they still hadn't received it, so I cancelled the check, spent the money to next day it to them and they had it the whole time. I think that I am going to cry. I hope that when that check comes back with a stop payment on it that they remember that they got two checks this month.

Dang, I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I would call the trustee and make sure he knows that the employee you spoke to gave you INCORRECT information, which ended up costing you money you certainly dont have any extra of right now. That is just ridiculous and like I said I would make sure its known by the trustee.

Did the check you wrote to the trustee that you stopped payment on clear? If so, ask the Trustee for an emergency refund of the double payment. Given the circumstances, it shouldn't be an issue.

I have an issue with the 13network. It is really slow to update. Generally, my check has cleared the bank 3 days (min) before it shows posted on the website. I don't know if this is trustee specific, if they wait awhile to see if it clears, or what. 13network just showed me as confirmed on Tuesday even though it happened last Friday.

So, I have quickly learned that 13network is slow and not always up to date. Be patient if your using that system to verify payments.

NDC is notoriously slow...

Sorry to hear about your postings with NDC. NDC and the Trustee's office are the major reasons I decided to refinance my house and get the heck out of Chapter 13. I cant tell you how happy I am not to deal with BK anymore!

I made my payments to the Trustee's office faithfully. I received a letter dated January 31, 2006, stating that I was 3 payments ($3000) behind. The letter stated that if I did not bring the payments current within 30 days, my case would be dismissed. I reviewed my payment stubs and compared them with the ledger they provided with the letter. My payment, which was due 1-30-06 had not been posted yet. Payments from November and December 2005 had not been posted either. The money order company verified that the money orders had NOT been cashed.

I assumed at this point that the money orders from Nov and Dec had been lost in the mail. I verified with USPS that they had in fact been delivered. On 2-6-06, the payments MIRACULOUSLY were posted by the Trustee's office and they posted on NDC a few days later!

Unfortunately, your best defense is to keep your cancelled checks or your money order stubs. Check the website often, and stay on the Trustee if your payments are not posted timely!
