    Disputing "Not coded correctly "

In reference to previous post about disputing this way instead of "NOT MINE"

I have just typed out my letters for all three credit agencys to dispute
    " NOT CODED CORRECTLY"
I will be sending them out once the currently dispute expires deadline.
I do have a question if you don't mind, Is it beneficial to really Dispute the "BK " record on your credit report? I have succeeded with Equifax But is this something I want to add as a dispute again in my new dispute
"NOT CODED CORRECTLY" ? The BK shows correctly "0" balance Discharged chapter 7 .. Should I leave this one be?
    Thanks for all your help

I think yours is ok, I'm not entirely sure. Theres alot of disagreement on this and I'm by no means an expert. But in my case, my accounts were still showing as charge-offs and having original past due balances. Disputing 'not coded correctly' and they finally came back 0 balance, and 'included in bankruptcy'.

Did you dispute the BK as not mine ? Thats what I have been doing .. but it comes back verified of coarse... So actually since my BK is showing correctly
"0 " balance discharged then I guess disputed not coded correctly would be a waste of time and not change anything ... I was hoping for it to be removed
But I guess it doesn't hurt your credit score to have that on it.. when you apply u have to tell them you had a bk anyways... Actually come to think of it not sure why I disputed it on CRA .. I was just following the procedure of what I was reading on how to improve your score..

Yes, thats originally what I tried. It worked on one account, 3 others came back verified twice more after I started disputing them with 'included in chapter 7 bankruptcy'. So then disputed them as 'not coded correctly', and all 3 came back corrected in days, not weeks.

Question: when you dispute as "Not Coded Correctly" do you have to or should you state how it is not coded correctly?

When you enter 'Not Coded Correctly', they not only understand exactly what it means and what to do, but do it quickly and efficiently as its something none of them have any vested interest in informing the consumer about.

This is a little confusing. Could you clarify what you're saying please?

Its sortof like, if you go to a business and get bad service over and over, with no apologies or remorse. Then once you finally catch them in the act and point out their mistake, they will fix it with a quickness no questions asked. But they won't bother to explain anything to you because its not in their interest to do so.
