    Need/Necessity???

    I am still waiting for my ch. 7 to close.

    I have my refund which trustee has requested, but also know I owe IRS for 2004 & have sent letter, requesting that I can send refund to IRS? I'm so confused now...

    I need new tires on that damn 4Runner....what do I do? If I break into that check for $500 and put it on tires, will they not close my case?

    I don't know what to do???? You can see the top of Licoln's head when you stick the penny in the tread

    Please be careful, don’t jeopardize your bankruptcy discharge by not sending the tax refund to the trustee.

    The Trustee can and very well might bring your case back before the court and a dismissal of your case, a revoking of your discharge. What this would mean is all your debts coming back with interest.

    Call your lawyer and trustee before you do anything,

      I noticed in your signature line, Amis, that you're waiting on an IRS tax refund.

      And you said you owe the IRS for '04. Is that right??

      If so, you may be waiting a long time for that refund to come. If you're expecting a return from the IRS, and owe the IRS for a previous year, they may just withhold whatever amount from this year's return.

      The Trustee may be waiting for something that's not coming. Or at least not as much as he/she's expecting.

        I totally agree with SF--you'll never see that refund--the IRS will keep it and even the trustee isn't going to try to get it back from the IRS.
