    Statue of limitations

First of all I would like to say all of you helped with my bankruptcy a great deal.
My question hasn't really have to do with my bankruptcy but a bill I got from
a collection agency a few days ago(wasn't included in my bankruptcy) The bill is from 1994 and for 51.00.
Does the statue of limitations apply? Should I just pay the bill? Can they report it to the credit agencies if I tell the collection agency the SOL as ran out. Also, can one collection agency sell it to another and start the SOL all over again.

    Thanks for your time

This is a old dentist bill from Michigan

What State and what type of acct??

Some States break out CC's or revolving credit seperate from other types of agreements. Some States just have 2 types. Written and Oral agreements.

The SOL will depend on the type of contract and the State.

If you signed an agreement at the Dentist's office regarding the treatement or you verbally agreed to the treatment and payment for services, then it's 6 years. Most likely, in the paperwork you filled out at the Dentist's office, there was a statement about financial responsibility for the debt and payment for services rendered.

If you used a CC to pay the Dentist, then it's 4 years from the last time you paid or charged on the acct.
