Hooters turned me down!

My Equifax is UP to 585 and my Experian is UP to 615. (Experian jumped from 536 to 615 after BK and corrections!)

I thought that things were starting to look up for me. Waaaaah! :cry:

I got approved for hooters, but it's because may be that I have Merrick secured.

I got my denial letter yesterday.

I was denied too. I'm going to try them again within a year, as well as providian/wamu.

how did you get denied for Hooters with a 738 score? They must have pulled your credit from one of the other cr agencies..It is really unnerving when you try to clean up your reports and your approvals/denials are riding on which of the 3 agencies does their homework and which one the creditor pulls. When we got a loan from our credit union for dental work they pulled Experian but the loan officer said they factor in a lot of things and not just your score. I actually was surprised I got a Hooters card. A lot of people on creditboards.com applied for the card so I decided to try. I think my score at the time was 650. My CL is only $500 but I just gotten a Juniper bankcard. Our CLs are low with the exception of Cap One which is $1500...dont want anymore and dont want the CLs increased because we can manage what we have now.

They cited 'recent bankruptcy'.
