Surrendered car reported on credit as repo

I did not reaffirm my car in my BK and surrendered it to the bank, but they reported it as a reposession. Aren't they supposed to report it as a write off?

Your car was not repo'd..... you surrendered it in BK.... so it needs to say "included in bankruptcy" on your credit report.
If you have not been discharged yet, your credit report will not reflect the "included in bankruptcy" clause.....
After discharge if they do not change it, dispute the entry and force them to correct it...

And maybe try the "Not Coded Correctly" attack. That's been seeming to work for people in the Rebuilding Credit section of the Forum.

Here's a link to one thread about that:

      Evidently saying that works wonders.

should it be reported as "voluntarly surrendered" or "charge off"?
