    Pacer Quarterly Statement Just Came....WTF!

I signed up for Pacer. I was on it once. I tried to make sure not to go all over the place on it.

I just got my bill. I tried to copy and paste it below

Basically it says .08 cents per page and I viewed 360 pages?

Does anyone know how they charge? Does that mean I went to 360 webpages?

I dunno, all I do know is that I have not and am not goint back into Pacer again

Anyone new to this BK, I would reccomend not getting access.

    I dunno, Thoughts?

It is 8 cents per page - if you would, for instance, pull up your actual petition - EVEN IF YOU DO NOT VIEW IT - it will still charge you the 8 cents per page. That is kind of what it sounds like happened. You pulled up something large, didn't view it and still got charged.

I just got my bill...50 bucks. I didn't really go wild on it either, that 0.08/page adds up fast.

          The problem with PACER is,.............

One webpage can be 40 or 50 or more printable pages charged at $0.08/page of printable pages.

So one PACER page can easily be $4-$5 and you won't know it, unless.........

You look at the very bottom of each webpage you view and there's a billable page count box. Tells you how much the page you're looking at costs.

It used to be at the bottom. They may have moved it. I haven't been there in a while.

yeah, it seems like crap to me.

well, maybe not crap, just not worth it

you can pull what you want off 13datacenter.com

or at least in my case, i just want to know my payment is being applied etc

just ridiculous, you click on a document, and it is 50 pages and they bang you for .08 a page

I would not reccomend PACER to anyone

I basically threw $28.80 right down the drain

I just got my bill for $60 and it seems like money well spent. I research other filings my prospective attornies had done to see how thorough they were and delays they had. Yes, it's a lot, but it really gave me a sense of security.

I've actually spent something like $135 on PACER.

There was some bumbling around to start, but then I really learned a lot. What types and $$ amounts of expenses are allowed by the Court here. How different attnys and Trustee's work.

Lots of the stuff I was reading here and in the Codes was just a lot of gobbldy gook in my mind until I started seeing stuff on PACER. Codes are abstract. Petitions are real life application.

Actually, there's a 30 page maximum charge so no document will cost more than $2.40. Thus, you can see someone's entire BK petition for that one cost.

Especially if you're going pro se, could be dang helpful to see how things are done in your district.

Pacer is different than 13 data center. Once your case is confirmed and past the day for objections, pacer is of little or now value unless you just want to look at other peoples cases.

13 data center does not show you if someone has filed an adversarial against you or the trustee has filed an objection. For example, today is day 60 for me since my 341 meeting. You can bet your a$$ I'll be checking pacer tonight and then again tomorrow to make sure no one filed a complaint concerning discharge of debt. (thought that 60 days would never get here)

I was very happy with the experience I had with Pacer. The motions of the trustee to dismiss / ect I would have not known about unless I had Pacer. I wouldn't go bankrupt without it!!!

Sorry Guys, I must have clicked on okay when I first went into Pacer on a document that was 300 pages!

I just went back in and viewed and saved some documents.

It is some good info on there.

You know what I dont understand? I was looking at 13datacenter.com and it lists all the claims and it says some are being paid almost a 100% and then others none at all

Is that how it works? Or they just not have filed a claim dispute yet?

Like AMEX has a $25,000 balance and they are scheduled to get nothing?

                        Anyways

It looks like I am 23% unsecured

                        Trustee getting 4.5%

                        And lawyer $2500

Shouldnt be looking at this stuff this late, makes my head spin

                        Good Night

Can you tell me where you looked on Pacer to see if someone had filed an adversarial , or if the trustee objects to anything? There are several links like "claim register", "history/documents", "filers", "docket reports", and so on but when I click on them you have to input more information. If I knew which was the correct link it would make things alot easier since I don't have to go through every one and get charged a bunch. I really can't afford a $20 bill and am not too computer savvy and can't really figure my way around the site.
