I received a letter from a creditor yesterday that was included on my Chapter 13. I finished paying in April and am currently waiting on my discharge paperwork to come. The letter says I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt. Should I call or send a letter stating they were included on the Chapter 13 and I do not owe anything? By the way, it is a cell phone bill of over $500. Thanks so much.

Make sure that this debt was included in your Chapter 13 plan...... then send them a certified letter (they sign for it) and let them know that you filed bankruptcy and you know longer owe them a debt......
If they did not file a claim when told too, that's their problem............Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
