We just talked to our attorney last week about filing Ch. 13. We paid our total payment and he is in the process of typing up our papers to send us. As soon as we get back in there to sign our papers, he will file it with the courts. Right now we will be 3 months behind with 1 vehicle on the 27th and 3 months on the other on Aug. 3. My question is do I call the loan companies and tell them we are in the process of filing and see what they say or do I lie to them and tell them that I will send them a payment on such and such date? I don't want them to come and take it. My attorney said we should just hide it. Does anyone have experience with this?

Speaking as someone who was working for GMAC auto until a few weeks ago, I cannot believe your lawyer told you to hide it. Wow.

If that's what your lawyer is telling you, lock them in a garage. Just about all states have a 'break the peace' kind of law, which means that they can't break into the property to get the cars back. If you take them to another place, don't think that the repo guy doesn't follow you to find out where you are with the car. I strongly suggest that you have your lawyer's info ready in case the repo guy shows up, so you can show him/her. If the still take the car after you tell them you've filed, then they will have to return it at their cost.

Good luck.
