I have a question on your case.....since you filed and it's still open just about two years....when would the date show on your credit report? The day you filed or the day it was closed? Which date does it fall of the credit report, date filed or date closed?

Bankruptcy begins on a credit report the date it was filed regardless of when it's closed.

Boy I heard that!!!! THAT WOULD SUCK...................
Needless to say, bankruptcy still did not hurt my credit that much...... After having 40 years of excellent credit I still now have a credit score just under 700 even 18 months out of bankruptcy.... it was around 800 when I filed....Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
