    Bill received?

We filed bankruptcy about 6 weeks ago. We have our 341 meeting this Friday. Today, I received a credit card bill in the mail saying that our account is seriously past due. Shouldn't they have been notified? What should we do?

Second, what should we expect at our meeting on Friday? I am so nervous. Our plan has us paying $1400/mo for 3 years. I am so afraid they are going to increase that for some reason. Our attorney has told us that our expenses are average, we just have a high income.

We have mailed our 1st payment, and even though we are just getting started, I can see our future much clearer now. No harrassing phone calls, letters and we can actually pay our house payment and utilities on time! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

There are several posts where people discuss their experiences with their 341 meeting and a sticky with a list of potential questions a trustee could ask. For the most part, people end up saying it was quite a breeze and they don't know what they worried about.

And, yes, that cc company should have received their notice that you are in your automatic stay. Sometimes, cc companies have several addresses and the notice doesn't get to the right place. Let your lawyer know so that you'll be able to deal with them.
