It looks like ur applying for too many things at one time u need to not get so many cards at once.

I have to agree with Princess. Too many CC's and too fast.

Lenders like to see a balance of Credit. Not all CC's or unsecureds. Lay off getting CC's for a while. Use the ones you have wisely. Then, try applying for something "secured" to provide some balance.

I am a year OUT of bk, we were told that we couldn't clean anything up till it was a year out that is why we have waited so long. The credit cards i have, have been mine for at least 6 months now. I just applied for the hooters card and the target card. I have our 2nd mortgage showing on my report as well as my student loans that are getting back on track.

Well your first problem is you listened to bad advice. Who told you that you had to wait a year before trying to clean up??? That is obsured!! You can start disputing 1 day after discharge. We were discharged on January 6th 2006, and we have EVERYTHING reporting correctly in June 2006- so we were done in 6 months.
          As of this point....
FIRST - dispute ANY and all accounts that have ANY incorrect in them, account numbers, dates, amounts, names, ANYTHING that is wrong!!
SECOND - as of this point pay off any balances you may have on any credit cards.....or maintain..very very very low balances....say $50 or below.
THIRD - do not apply for any new lines of credit.
FOURTH - once you have done the following, sit back and wait. In six months pull your credit report and see how better you are.

At this point we are in a holding pattern....letting the credit cards and time do it's job. We hope to raise our scores enough to get our 1st house in a year and a half.

Now you know your game plan.....work on it and let everything fall in place.

          Good luck
