    Should I go for this??

I just got a pre approved offer in the mail today from Direct Merchants Bank Platinum Mastercard, with no annual fee and 0%APR until May 07 with a credit line up to 2,500. Has anyone else ever gotten anything like this? Should I try for it? Anyone had any experience with them?

A pre-approval is ONLY a pre-approval. This doesn't mean that the terms you stated will be the terms you get. The fine print on teh back always has a mention of "with approved credit".

Well, after doing a little research, I found out that they are Bkfriendly, invitation only, and tend to give decent limits. So..I went for it and was instantly approved! I don't know what my CL will be yet, could be as low as $300 or as high and $2500
I am pretty excited to get instant approval, but trying not to get my hopes up on the limit.

Well that's good news! I believe you won't know your limit until the card arrives in the mail.

Now, I'm sure you don't have to be reminded of what not to do, right?

If you have filed or in the bankruptcy process, you are NOT supposed to acquire any additionl debt without permission of the Trustee.

REMEMBER, you are under the control of the US Bankruptcy Court.... till after you are discharged.

Rebuilding credit should be done WISELY....... you don't want to go back to where you just left anytime soon.............

              Merchant Direct

I received this offer about 5 months ago. I applied and was given a $1500 credit limit. I don't care what the interest rate is because I pay it in full each month. They ahve been very good and they offer on-line payments free of charge.
Finally debt free. Chapter 7 is wonderful. A fresh new start.
