No asset case, all CC debt -- file myself

    Hello,

I am dire need to file chapter 7. My case is pretty simple, about 22K all in credit card debt to discharge. I also have a car loan for 16.5K, but plan on keeping it. I have no money to pay for a lawyer, the cheapest of which quoted me at $750. I have assumed a second job to get caught up on utilities and car payments, but dont have the reserves to pay for an attorney. Despite financial problems, I really am a smart guy (PhD student) and am considering filing myself. I know that I am nearly 4-5 months past due and want to get this out of the way before i go into collections or even worse, a suit. Is this a bad idea.

Also, if I reaffirm, is that something that is set up in court, or will i do that personally with my bank?
