Nas, I have 2 cards and was approved for a 3rd but when they sent the card with a $500 limit and almost a 29% interest rate I called and cancelled the card. The old me would have never done that I wouldn't have cared with the limit was as long as I had a card. I am having a problem getting any good credit offers but I guess as time moves on and I pay my bills on time I will receive better offers. I just must be patient.

I'm right with you... But my goal is to get a house next summer. So, I'm thinking twice before I use my cards right now

I was told that the banks want to see at least three good credit lines to refinance .. I wonder if it matters if they are secondary creditors ... I have made the big mistake of almost maxing out the two cards we have . I am stopping now and revaluating myself. I just got the hooters but most likely will not use it ,, Just pay off the 48.00 fee.... I have to really try to monitor myself and not say " I will pay it off when I get a job" That is not working for me ....In my oppinion it is hard not to use them when all these emergencies come around... I am debating the hooters card cause thats a very high limit 1000.00 to have for me now anyways.... the other two are only 400 and 300.... We have to refinance and the mortgage company's that I have been talking to keep saying three lines .... good and long....

I'm going to stay under 15% on all my cards. That way, if something should come up, I'll have something to work with.

Is the interest rate high on your hooters?

I think those questions were a bit erroneous. I have several cards now, but I only use them to leave a tiny balance, or to pay for something major (ie car repairs) or something like that....

Those questions are unfair and unbalanced. Sorry.
BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

I say 2 but maybe 3 is OK. I have closed one card and I am getting ready to close a second but open a new card. I will have 2 cards and that's it. These have decent intrest rates so they are probably worth keep for a while.

Hooters 30% interest $48 Annual ..I do have to say much better than the fees on first premier bank.... I am kind relunctant on using the hooters card , I want to pay off the other two first.... I wish there was a better way of reestablishing credit than paying all these fees but that the way the cookie crumbles ... From reading on this board you have to try to fix credit reports right after discharge in the mean time apply to get a head start with most likely orchard or premier.....
