Credit report after BK... Can Verizon do this?

Hi Everyone,

I just finished my Ch. 13 after refinancing and paying it off. I am waiting for the final discharge. In the meanwhile, I have been looking at my credit report online.

I noticed that Verizon Wireless, who DID NOT file a claim, is still reporting my account as delinquent... CO. They were listed on my BK documents and they did not file the claim and will not be paid anything as part of the payoff.

My question is: Since they failed to file a claim and its their own fault that they wont get any payment... Can they continue to report my account as delinquent?

They aren't supposed to, but they do anyways. You'll have to take it upon yourself to get it fixed.

File a report with the credit bureau that you dispute the entry, that this was included in bankruptcy.... send certified letters so you have a receipt.... Give them 30 days to fix the problem.....

They are obligated by law to correct the entry or remove it one......
