collection/charge off and IIb in status?

I have disputed all accounts under IIB and all 3 CRA's have done this. However, Experian has changed to IIB but it also states collection/ charge off account. Should it still state this?

Experian stated that it will because at one time it was a collection/charge off. Please help!

If the account was charged off before you filed BK then they are able to report it as such.

        Amy,

I know this is frustrating - don't worry about it. After time your credit score will move up. Mine are all 650-690 13 months after BK.

        They go away eventually.

          Experian reporting as chage offs

I am having the same problem with experian. The other credit bureaus are reporting the bankruptcy with the accounts as either current or 30 days deliquent. That is the truth.

Experian is reporting about half of mine as being charged off with a zero balance. I have been trying to get them to change this to show the accounts were not charged off at the time of the bankruptcy. What the creditor did later is not my problem.

Does anyone know how this affects your credit score?

          thanks

Experian is doing the same thing to me, and my experian score is 50+ pts lower than the other bureau scores. Keep fighting them.
