    Salary garnishing

Could the credit card companies and DEBT COLLECTORS go for salary garnishing and real property assets? I have unsecured credit debts.

They might be able to do that after suing me and getting the court order to do that? Anyone know about it?

    Thank you for the help.

They would need to sue you first and get a judgment. Once they have a judgment they can empty your bank accounts and garnish your wages. They can put liens on real property but I haven't heard that happening a lot.

Check to see if your state exempts wage garnishment for credit card comps.
Some states won't allow for it, then the cc or collection agency will try to sue and put a lien on your property. Unless you have a lot of equity in your property, they will probably never try to do a sheriffs sell of it. But liens last for years, 5-10 according to what state you're in.
When it all boils down to it, its just numbers! Your credit score, your interest rate, your bank account, and your net worth if you're fortunate enough to have one......is your happiness really defined by numbers?
