Help! I don't know what to do!

I can't afford an attorney so I have to do this all myself. I am sure I will screw it up....I screw up everything anyhow...I pulled my credit report but the account numbers leave off the last 4 digits...can I just use these numbers without the last 4 digits on my chapter 7 creditor list?...please help..I have been thinking about suicide I am so distraught...

Pulling your Credit Report was a good thing to do. Any attny you'd Consult with would instruct you to that exact thing.

Now, take your Credit Reports and your bills and match them up. Then you'll have the full acct number to coordinate which CC bill goes with which acct.

When our attny filed our petition, they used XXXX for all but the last 4 numbers of each CC acct.

At the top of some of the Sections of the Forum here are Stickies about how to fill out your forms. There's even links to sites with interactive forms you can fill in online and then print out.

I'd suggest, even if you plan on filing Pro Se, you Consult with 3 or more attnys. Generally Consults are free and you'll learn a lot. You'll get different attnys prospectives on how they would handle your case. You'll also get lists of docs that you'll need to have on hand for when you do file.

just calm down, look over the forum, this is by far the best one i found

i dont know if your report is like the one i signed up for at trucredit
mine lists a contact number for every creditor on my report

you may just want to call, one by one, verify the account number ( in your case get the full number )

question for you, what situation are you in
are you being sued, harrasing phone calls

there are letters to send to creditors to force them to stop calling

just take it one step at a time and you will get through it

i have a bipolar disorder and it affects my thinking worse than others

my counceler helped my by showing me i cannot handle a full problem. instead break it down, handle one thing at a time

instance

what position are you in, being sued or what, if not you will have at least 6 months (hopefully) before someone tries

then break the bankruptcy down into certain steps

1 put creditors in there place
2 find out the best way to file pro se, or maybe you might find a lawyer to do it cheap
3 what steps are involved in a bankruptcy case
4. what did you do wrong if anything that can come back to haunt you
i took out a 11,000 cash advance 112 days befor i filed ( know they objected to the discharge ) but it was only for this debt

Yes I have major severe depression and the CC company froze my bank account and I am penniless...I am afraid they will try and take my car..its just an old car but I have been working on it all year to get it going so I can have my own car to go to work. Then they took my last 400 dollars so I had to quit my job! I am a total wreck and I just want to end my life...

I live in Virginia and I got a real good job down in Savannah GA....I went down there practically penniless and hardly had anything to eat for 10 days...the contract company I worked for screwed my paycheck up so on the day I was supposed to get paid I didnt and I was 2 days behind on my hotel bill and had about $1.50 in my pocket and no gas...I had to call someone to wire me what little money they had to get me home because I did not know when I wsa going to get my check....I finnaly got my check 5 days later and I started a 7 dollar an hour job 65 miles away when I got back home here in Virginia there are NO jobs here and if you are from out of state they dont want to hire you anyhow...small town politics...I had 350 dollars left and they seized my bank account so I had to quit that job too...

there is no reason to hurt yourself

i to thought of suicide because i caused my wife and two kids to lose everythin, but ya know what they loved me the whole way through. i have a 150,000 $ life insurance policy ( and suicide is included, i checked ) i just wanted to be able to keep what they got

how much are you in debt?

i do not know how judgements work, i will be honest, but there is alot of people on here who has helped me, and still are.

but to be able to help, you need to throw out everything on the table

like what kind of car u have, what it is worth states have a exemtion in bankruptcy ( i live in ohio and have a 1998 sunfire paid off, 1500 blubook, they did not repo it

so just keep writing of what your situation is and people will help

I have had trouble keeping any kind of a job for 15 years. I am about 30 thousand in debt. I sell antiques on ebay but it doesn amount to a whole lot...I made maybe 2500 this year...I have a Datsun 280Z 1976 its not worth alot but if they take it I will kill myself cause its all I got left...I cant work,,,I am a nervous wreck and a recovering alcoholic...I am trying to keep it together for this bankruptcy but I havent did my self employmeny taxes this year like I should and I am scared....I just want to end it...my whole life is a disaster...

did you get a free couceltation with a attorney? maybe two or three

even if you cannot afford one, the info you will learn will help out alot

I can stay here forever...and I havent seen any attorney...I apllied for legal aid but I am just assuming they wont take my case however...and I dont have job at all right now..

how long can u stay to get your feet on the ground, remember try to have a positive attitude, and learn your rights

if i was you, i would find a job for 5-7 bucks a hr, learn about bankruptcy
go get a few conseltations with lawyers, to learn
see how much they would charge
you could file in a month, and it be all over in 5-7 months

i to thought my life was a wreck, asshamed

but you know what

so far it has gone 150% better than i thought (knock on wood)

I am scared because I didnt send in any self employment taxes they will throw it out...you are supposed to file quarterly estimates but I didnt because every nickel I made ai used to get my car going...all I wanted was my own car...seems like I cant have anything in life...a job....car...I am just miserable...
