lien on car

I was able to keep my car after converting my 13 to a 7.I had my 341 meeting and everything was fine.The people i financed the car with says they will not give me the lien release until i pay 900.00.that i still owe.I thought chapter 7 would take care of everything i owed.Is this true or are they just trying to get the rest of the money i owe.They said that it will show on my credit report until i pay them

I could be wrong about this, but I do not think a BK will override a lien..
if a lien was placed on the car, then you filed BK, I would say Bk would
not override the lien.

if a lien was place on the car after BK... but wait, how could it,
because the car would have been in BK, right?

I think your in option #1

If you suspect of getting a lien or judgement, then you need
to act fast, once you get them, I do not think BK will override them.
