Added to an existing credit card account

I am now the sole caregiver for my elderly parent. A lot has changed for me in the last year since discharge.

Anyway. I am POA for Mom. I have been paying her bills, and buying her groceries with her credit card. So far, no one has challenged me.
BUT, I am thinking to ask to be put on her credit card account as a second card holder.

question. Since it has been a year since discharge...will they allow it?
second question. If they allow it. Will it improve my own credit score?

i do not use these cards for my own. I spent a lot of time with an elder care lawyer, so I know what I must do..and what I am obligated to do for her to protect her assets...so using any of her money for other than her own care is not happening. BUT..can I get a credit score bump up from her great credit with these cards?

Each card issuer is a little bit different. Some don't report authorized users, while others report everything. Which credit card company are you referring to?
