Inquiries and credit repair

I am due to get discharged on April 10th but I have already started the process of trying to up my credit score which has been successful. What should I do about my inquries I have 23, 20 and 24 and its almost time for me to start buliding but I am gonna put myself in the hole with inquire numbers like that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would stop applying for random credit for at least the next year. The only credit you should apply for is household bank/orchard bank cards, and maybe capital one. Chances are noone else is going to approve new credit for you just yet, so don't go wasting any more inquiries on places that aren't going to approve you.

Should I wait for capital one to send me a letter? Or do I apply after discharge on the their webiste?
