    Back from my 341 NC

The hardest part was waiting for a couple hours for my turn, I watch almost 40 cases. I notice if you are self employed or have a business the trustee digs deep. I was under the median (unemployed)and no asset case. The trustee asked me 4 standard questions and said thank you and that was it. Discharging over $54,000 in CC debt and surrendering a $21,000 vehicle. Get to keep my house and other car, what a great day! This is the best thing I ever did. No more MT of debt. This forum helped me sooo much, thanks guys. I'm also going into the Army in November so Hooah!

Wanted to go Officer route but I have to wait a year after my discharge to apply to OCS because of the BK. But getting rid of all the debt was worth it. If anyone is thinking of doing a BK 7, do it!

IronPirate, just wondered, can you remember any of the questions the self-employed were asked, and what kind of responses you might recall? btw, congrats to you and I salute your joining the Army - thanks for your service and bravery to this country.

Of course each one was different but It seemed he went through these deeper regarding their tax returns, assets, documents and made sure the schedules were perfect. I can't remember the questions but most of the self employed cases lasted 10 mins and he wanted additional documents. The trustee was pretty tough, I was surprised my case only lasted like a minute.

Congrats on a successful 341! Thanks for serving our country.

Ryan, I have a very part-time home-based business and was not asked any questions at my 341. Then again I have very little business income and assets. My debt was not business related. So maybe that is why I wasn't asked any questions.
