Question Regarding Paystubs Needed

Quick question... tomorrow I am meeting with my attorney regarding filing chapter 13 BK and he is requesting that I provide 6 months of paystubs.

My question is: I am reading thru various forums and FAQs and it appears that you only need to provide the previous 60 days of paystubs/proof of income.

If this is the case, then why would my attorney ask for previous 6 months?

Because he needs to average your pay out for the last 6 months. In our district, the trustee only requests 2 months of paystubs.

My laywer was very particular - made sure every paystub was there for the last 6 months.

My Attorney (in WA) needed 6 months

I'm in California and they only wanted 2 months. I'm salary so it's the same exact amount on each check and same with hubby.

They need it for the means test as well as to make sure the income numbers are correct (check for bonuses, etc.).
Some trustees also want to see 6 months worth, mine wanted 6 months when I filed and every one up until the 341 meeting.
