    Automatic Stay . . .?

I plan to file tomorrow or early next week. I currently have a wage garnishment. They take 25% each check. I get paid every 2 weeks, and my employer sends a 1 check in the amount that was garnished for a given month at the end of the month (+ a $10 processing fee).

When my automatic stay goes into effect, do I still have my employer send them a check for the garnishments for that month? Or do I get that money back?

    Please advise.

My understanding is that the stay immediately stops all collection efforts, including garnishment.
