    Creditor's Addresses

We are getting ready to file bankruptcy and have filled out all the information for the creditor's addresses. But I am worried that some of the addresses may be incorrect, or the mail may get returned. What if that happens?

Also my bigger concern is about the collection agency addresses and contact info. What if I don't know what collection agency has my debt? I know who the original debtor was, but some of my accounts are being sold on a weekly basis, and someone new is calling me every week about the same accounts...am I responsible if the account is sold between the time the paperwork is filled and and when it is filed? Or is having the original creditor's information enough?

For the 'correct' addresses, check your Credit Reports. The reports show the proper addresses for all creditors.

Unsure about your collection agency addresses.
This isn't legal advice. It is just informational based on my experiences through the process, and some of the lessons I've learned.
