    Question on cross calaterization

I was discharged from bk chap 7 over 2 years ago. I still have a car loan with my credit union that I am on time with. I did have a credit card with credit union to, that was discharged in bk. At the time of bk I didn't reaffirm my car loan.

My question is I'm almost done paying off my car. Can the credit union still hit me with cross- calaterization clause 2 years later once i pay car off? My fear is I pay off car then try to add the amount I owed on credit card to car or is it too late for them to do that? Thanks guys for any help

My original loan documents also had the cross-collateralization clause, but it was not enforced. Like you I BK'd a credit card and did not reaffirm the car. I recently sold the car, but before doing so called to see if the cross collateralization was enforced (It was not). The ONLY way to know will be to call and ask. Hopefully all will be OK with you also.
