Is my car safe from lawsuits as long as I file for bk before a summary judgment?

My car is exempt in a Ch7 BK (Wildcard Exemption).

For example, let's say I am in a lawsuit where the judge will issue a summary judgment against me in a week. If I were to file for BK before this happens, would it stop the lawsuit judgment from taking place? And my car would be safe?

And also, does anyone know how long a lawsuit takes from the date of receiving a summons to getting hit with a summary judgment? 6 months? a year? (Assuming that the creditor didn't violate anything and you have no real defense)

    Thank you

Forgot to mention that since there is no such wildcard exemption for lawsuits (to protect my car), am I correct to assume that I can lose my car from a lawsuit if I don't file for BK on time?
