notice of hearing on reaffirmation agreement

    Hello All,

I live in NJ and finance a vehicle from a credit union. I signed the agreement and so did the credit union. I received a notice of hearing on reaffirmation agreement and am stressed. What does this meen? I am current on the car payment as it is drafted from my paycheck. Is it possible I must surrender the car? My attorney did check the payment does not impose a hardship. I really need this car....my wife uses it to comute to work. (She did not file only me), I also have a paid off car in my name that I use for work.

Just means a judge will decide if making signing the reaffirmation agreement is in your best interest.

Some judges routinely refuse to sign off on reaffirmations.
If that's the case here, yo've done all the bk code requires. You tried to reaffirm-the code doesn't say the reaffirmation must be approved. In that case, you keep the car as long as you make the payments.
