Divorce settlement and paperwork in the court system awaiting the judgement which is taking forever. Anxious to file BK and deal with the financial crap that has been haunting me since the divorce began (4 years ago). Do I need to wait until I receive the divorce judgement before filing? Someone told me it will delay the divorce process if I file before conclusion. Is this true or should I file now and get the process started before the end of 2015?

You need to speak to a bk lawyer. Assets acquired from a divorce within 180 days of the divorce can become part of a bk estate. -
There are no assets - more worried it will stall the process.Comment
