Convert Ch 13 to 7 Help

2 & 1/2 years into ch 13, never late with a payment. Wife and I about to retire and collect social security. Must we wait until we are not working to file for the conversion? We should be able to fulfill the means test once we are no longer employed. How does our work retirement accounts factor into this? Our attorney is just a paperwork factory, and assembly line, so I can't rely on them, for guidance unfortunately. Thanks much.
