Problem with unemployment benefits

Just received my first unemployment money and it is on a freakin US Bank credit/debit card! I thought I was done with credit cards! I hope I won't have any trouble using it or if it will affect my confirmation on Jan 5. I have to call and activate it to use it and it has the same bs fees and charges that my other cc's had! They are even charging me fees for using an ATM and transfering money to my personal checking account! I am going to contact the unemployment center and see if I can change the payment to direct deposit seeing that the trustee will be taking my payment out of my checking account.

You shouldn't have any trouble as it is basically a pre-paid card. You can't go over how much is on the card.

However, I would look into direct deposit if possible. No need to pay extra fees when you don't need to.
