Anyone financed with HSBC?

Okay discharge was 3 months ago. I reaffirmed my note on my 2005 Trailblazer EXT for Centrix Financial at 17.9%. Applied and approved with HSBC to refinance at 13%. This will only lower the payment by about 10 dollars a month, but will take 6 months off of the loan, which will be better. Anyone have any experience with HSBC.

HSBC is just one of many names they do business under. When I was a kid growing up, I can remember the commercials on TV for Household Finance and Beneficial.

At Beneficial, you're good for more! was their slogan.

This company gives new meaning to the term Sub Prime Lender.

They tend to prey on people who do not research and cannot understand exactly what they are agreeing to.

Be sure to read all the fine print and know exactly what the terms of deal are before you sign on the dotted line.

I myself do not care for Household Finance and Beneficial. I feel that they are incompetent and have very poor customer service. When they screw something up. it's a major ordeal to get them to fix.

Bankruptcy History:
Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
Discharged - 02/16/2006
Case Closed - 11/08/2007

We financed our car through them one month out of bankruptcy. They were the only ones willing to finance us at the time. No problems with them thus far, other than extremely high interest. We are planning on refinancing asap.
