The phone calls have completely stopped and the silence takes some getting used to.

I'm exaggerating a bit because we kept making payments to Discover for a couple of extra months and, unlike all of the other accounts, they haven't charged off yet. They are still calling once in a while and I continue to do my best to keep them from calling frequently. Strangely enough I've been able to get Discover to call about once a week which is a surprise considering the experience other people have had with them.

I guess there was one of the accounts that got sent to a new old collection agency this week too. The collection agency had been calling about a different account and now they're calling again regarding another account.

I spent a good while on the phone with the agent doing my best to make them believe I was concerned about the account but unable to resolve it. I seriously need to write my own version of what to say and what not to say and good ways to answer the common questions they ask. This particular collection agency isn't real tough to deal with so I'm not sure if I'll send them a debt validation letter to shut them up or just let them call and give them the same answers as before.

So then, there HAVE been calls but so few it SEEMS like none at all!

Thinks are still tough here financially because we continue to have more expenses than income. I've stopped making payments on the newest vehicle that we don't intend to keep anyway. I can't help but wonder how long it will take for them to satart calling and then reposses it.

Paying the balance of the attorney fees continues to be a challenge and I'm hoping that we can skip making car payments to get it paid off soon.
