mortgage stories after stay lifted

I will be discharged next week and Wells has requested a lift from stay. It looks like they will get it according to my attorney. He also says it`s not that big a deal as long as you stay current on payments. I was hoping to ride thru without a lift from stay, but it seems we were close to 30 days late over the last month, and I guess Wells got nervous. I will be able to come current quickly, but it`s still too late for the stay. My question. Has anyone out there had the stay lifted and continued to keep the house? Has it been a real pain with the mortgage company? Did they contact you after the discharge to talk about terms? Just looking for what to expect, If I don`t try and rush a reaffirm thru over the next week. I have a 1st and 2nd with little or no equity. The loans and value are about equal.
